Angels of the Knights – Fallon by Valerie Zambito

Angels of the Knights – Fallon
by Valerie Zambito

Paperback, 212 pages
Published June 27th 2012

When Fallon died at the age of sixteen, her life changed forever.

The hallowed world of Emperica is everything she had ever hoped for as a mortal—immeasurable beauty, unconditional love and light. But, with affection for humankind still burning within her, she joins the Knight Caste to train as an angel warrior.
The elders warn her that the path she chose will be a solitary one. That she will not have the same bond with humans as she once did. But, as far as she knows, the elders had never met Kade Royce.

When her duties place her in the path of the handsome former cop, emotions buried long ago rise to the surface and she is powerless to ignore the depth of her feelings for this young man. Ignoring the risks, she invites him into her world of danger, but soon their lives collide with explosive consequence. As a result, Fallon realizes with heartbreaking despair that she can no longer hide from the painful truth. In order for Kade to live, she must destroy him.

Q & A with Valerie Zambito

Q:  Tell us a little bit about Fallon and Kade.
Fallon is an angel warrior who protects mankind by battling the evil Kjin that walk the earth. Kade is a tough, ex-police officer with a heart of gold. I love their unique, sweet romance and fierce protectiveness over each other. Kade adores the angel in Fallon, but desires the woman beneath just as much. In the end, Fallon has to make a heart-wrenching choice that neither of them are prepared for.

Q:  How long have you been writing, and when did you first consider yourself an author?
I’ve been writing since a very early age, but considered myself an author after I published my first epic fantasy series, Island Shifters, in November of 2011.

Q:  Who designs the covers for your books and what is that process like for you as an author?
I have had the opportunity to work with several amazing artists. Namely, the Emmy-nominated, Nick Delgaris (www.deligaris.com), who created most of the covers of my Island Shifters series, and digital artists, Elena Dudina (www.elenadudina.com) and Ravven (www.ravven.com), who created the covers for Angels of the Knights.

As most can probably imagine, collaborating on the cover is one of the most exciting aspects of the publishing process. To see your vision and characters come to life is inspiring beyond words.

Q:  Do you have more books planned for the Angels of the Knights series besides the three already published? How did you know (or how will you know) when the story was finished?
Not at this time. The Angels series was wrapped up nicely in Book Three. However, (as always) if readers want more, I would definitely consider because I’m passionate about these heroic teens and the mystical world they live in. I’m fairly certain I have a few more adventures left in me. ;)

Q:  What is the best advice you have been given?
Just write. Don’t worry about reviews or ratings. Just put out the best product you can and the rest will fall into place.

Q:  As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
At one point, I actually wanted to be a police officer, but at 5’2” it became apparent that I should probably entertain another profession J. Instead, I pursued a sales career with a fortune 500 company and enjoyed that work for fifteen years before taking time off to write full time.

 Q:  Hard/paperbacks or ebooks?
Ebooks all the way! I love having the ability to have my next read at my fingertips with a simple download.

Q:  What book are you reading now?
I’m reading Book Three in Jim Butcher’s Dresden Files series called Grave Peril. Loving it. It’s a great mixture of magic, humor and heart-pounding action.
